This radios is available in three configurations. The base configuration is easy to use and durable, featuring 16 channels with no display. The Icom F1000S features an LCD display and 4 keys. The Icom F1000T features an LCD display and a full DTMF keypad.
IP67 Waterproof, dust-tight protection and a long battery life
The IC-F1000 series has a 24.5mm (0.96 in) slim depth with IP67 waterproof casing. The transceiver can withstand 1m depth of water for 30 minutes. Its dust-tight construction prevents the ingress of powder dust, sand, mud and other objects. The supplied waterproof Li-Ion battery pack, BP-279 (7.2V DC, 1485mAh), provides 14 hours* of operating time. This is a radio that you know will work when you need it.

This is a VHF Radio
VHF stands for Very High Frequency. VHF radios have lower frequencies than UHF radios, which stands for Ultra High Frequency. VHF radios have a longer wavelength, allowing them to travel a longer distance in an environment that has few obstacles. This makes them ideal for outdoor use. UHF radios’ higher frequency makes them better at communicating through obstacles, making them ideal for indoor use.
If you are adding new radios to an existing fleet of radios it is important to order the same type of radios. This VHF F1000 radio cannot communicate with the identical looking UHF F2000, check the model number on the back on the radio, covered by the battery to make sure you are ordering the correct radio. The Icom F1000 Features
Enhanced emergency with built-in motion sensor
With a built-in motion sensor, the IC-F1000 series can detect its position, state of motion and non-motion and can send an emergency signal. The motion function detects if the transceiver is moving or shaking, for example, during a chase. The lone worker and man down functions are programmable.
Selective calling, quiet stand-by and more
The IC-F1000 series has built-in 2-Tone, 5-Tone, CTCSS and DTCS signaling capabilities for group communication and selective calling.
Easy to hear in noisy areas
The large 36mm speaker of the transceiver provides clear companded 800mW audio. The built-in BTL amplifier doubles the audio output power and delivers loud and intelligible voice to a radio operator working in noisy environments.
Channel announcement
When you rotate the channel knob, the radio announces the channel number. Convenient for making radio adjustments without having to look at the radio.
Built-in inversion voice scrambler
The built-in inversion voice scrambler provides secure conversation. Up to 16 codes are selectable.
