Recreation Radios

Built to Handle Harsh Environments

The key to selecting a radio designed for recreation is to consider the environment that the radio will be subjected to and if it will stand up to the tests. The IP rating on the radio designates the ingress protection that the radio supports. The first digit is the particle (dust) rating and the second digit is the liquid rating. The higher the better.

We suggest that if your environment calls the chance of water, that you consider an IP 57 or 67 rated radio. If water is not an issue then an IP 54 or 55 rated radio will work for your needs.
