Which Model CP200 Do I Have?
If you already own CP200 radios it is critical that you identify your radio model, begin by removing the battery from your radio and look at the back of the radio unit itself. On the metallic surface inside your CP200 you will find a label with a "Model:" number. Use this model number in the chart supplied on this page to verify your radio specifications. Still unsure? CP200 Programmable Button Options
Monitor (Short Press)
The radio’s speaker Unmutes to any carrier squelch activity.
Volume Set (Short Press)
Emits a tone indicated the current volume level of the radio’s speaker. The volume level is based on the current setting of the radio’s Volume Selector Knob.
VOX Operation (Short Press)
Voice Operated Tx allows the selected microphone to automatically key-up due to recognition of voice. The radio then automatically de-keys when audio is no longer present.
System Scan (Short Press)
This allows the radio user to enable or disable the radio’s Scan Mode.
High/Low Power (Short Press)
This allows the radio-user to adjust the Transmit Power setting to ‘High’ or ‘Low’.
Repeater/Talkaround (Short Press)
This allows the radio-user to toggle between Repeater Mode and Talkaround Mode.
Battery Indicator (Short Press)
The Radio’s LED indicator presents the following colors based on current battery charge levels.
Sticky Permanent Monitor (Long Press)
Sticky Permanent Monitor Mode occurs when holding the short-press Monitor Button for a Long Press duration. Once the long-press occurs, the radio remains in Monitor Mode until the Monitor Button is short pressed.
Nuisance Delete (Long Press)
When a Scan List Member continually generates unwanted noise, it can be temporarily deleted from the scan list. This feature applies for the current Scan List.
